This fantastic workshop, sponsored by Bay Area Family Wellness, included a panel of experts with various specialties, from nutrition to acupuncture, providing information and tips on how to increase chances of conceiving naturally. We signed books at this event.

Week of March 21 – March 28 – Fertility Focus Telesummit!!
Cindy Bailey proudly participated in this week-long tele-summit as one of 15 fertility experts, each sharing knowledge and tips on helping you get pregnant—all conducted by Internet or phone. Oct. 3, 2010, San Francisco – Talk for NorCal Fertility on Building Healthy Eating into Your Life
Authors Cindy Bailey and Pierre Giauque, Ph.D., demonstrated one of the simple-to-make, flavorful recipes from their cookbook while also sharing the secrets to changing your diet to optimize fertility and good health. They focused their discussion on how to build healthy eating into our lives, including time-saving tips to make shopping for healthy ingredients and cooking the recipes much easier! Books were available for signing and purchase (including wholesale orders), and four dishes were available for tasting! Many enjoyed the healthy cooking--and eating!
The event was hosted by NorCal Fertility Group.

Co-author Cindy Bailey spoke at the Northern California Reproductive Nurses Journal Club’s annual dinner. Theme: REI Holistic Approach-East Meets West, with a panel discussion that included acupuncturist, Karen Reynolds, MS, LAc, RN, Allison Chamberlaine, RN, and Peggy Orlin, MFT, who lead the Mind-Body Workshop at Pacific Fertility Center, and Paula Chavez, LVN of the Turek Clinic.

Mar. 18, 2010, Los Angeles – Our Book Launch Party!
Thursday February 11, 2010 from 5:30pm - 8:00pm at Huntington Reproductive Center (HRC) Fertility, a group of seven fertility clinics in the greater Los Angeles area, graciously hosted our second book launch party at their new, chic and stylish Encino office. Dr. Robert Boostanfar gave us a pre-party tour of their modern facilities and I was thrilled to see that they had acupuncture offices set up right next to their egg transfer rooms).
At the party, we celebrated the launch of our book with great food sponsored by Whole Foods Market, Sherman Oaks East, and the fab vegetarian restaurant, Real Food Daily , (almost nothing was left!), fantastic wine from Elevensance Cellars and Vinoce Winery (not much left of these either!), music and a free raffle drawing for wine and a book. We also had the opportunity to talk about nutrition for fertility and Pierre gave a cooking demo with loads of tips for making the process of cooking easier. Everyone had a blast!.

Pierre and I had a great time talking on eating for fertility and giving a cooking demo/tasting to a mom’s group experiencing secondary infertility. Cindy also spoke on healthy eating, plus provided recipe tasting samples to a parenting class.

Our Book Launch Party in San Francisco!
We celebrated the launch of our Fertile Kitchen® Cookbook on Wednesday night, January 13, with a swanky party at Pacific Fertility Center (PFC) in San Francisco! Great food, wine, champagne, music (guitarists), decor and company all around! We had the opportunity to talk about the importance of diet and good nutrition for fertility, and Pierre gave a demo on how to prepare his spicy garbanzo beans recipe while offering tips for making the process easier. Philip E. Chenette, M.D. and Medical Director at PFC, was also on hand to give a brief, inspiring talk on his support of and commitment to good nutrition for fertility and pregnancy, reminding us that just down the hall "there are about 120 embryos growing" -- and thus reminding us all why we were there.

We had a free raffle drawing for a book,  a couple of bottles of wine, and a T-shirt (the latter items, courtesy of Elevensance Cellars).  The whole evening was a blast! I have to thank some people: Thank you first and foremost to Pacific Fertility Center for going all out in hosting our party. The decor, the flowers, the champagne, the stunning views of Fisherman's Wharf -- oh, my! Thank you to Robb Mayberry (Director of Business Development at PFC) for all your work in making this party happen. Thank you to Dr. Philip E. Chenette for your inspiring support.
